What the heck is a Zonnestraaltje?
A Zonnestraaltje is a "little ray of sun". It's a Dutch word that I have been fond of for over ten years now, and it's become part of my persona. I used to hope it described my personality, but the more I look around my little world, I realize it describes what I should experience in life... look beyond the gloomy to fully see the sparkling side of life. Catch the moments that come floating down to me on little rays of sun...soak them in, and be thankful for that time.

Nope, it's "Princess Whiney Butt"!
David had to have an art shirt for school, so we went to Michael's and got blank ones to decorate. Of course we couldn't leave samantha out.
It took some begging and pleading, but I finally got David to tell me all about his day. He had a great time and is excited to go back tomorrow.
oh...ok...that makes sense. i was thinking "whimsy butt?" hmmm...
that was sweet that the three of you could do a project together like that! :) i'm sure sammie is disappointed that she isn't going to school with her big brother, right? how was she today, anyway?

How exciting! I'm glad David had a good first day and is enjoying his new adventure. The ending to the slideshow is so cute! What does S make of her brother being at school?
Oh, Sam is okay with David going to school, as long as she gets to walk along to the bus stop when he leaves and comes back. :) Next year she gets to go!
