What the heck is a Zonnestraaltje?
A Zonnestraaltje is a "little ray of sun". It's a Dutch word that I have been fond of for over ten years now, and it's become part of my persona. I used to hope it described my personality, but the more I look around my little world, I realize it describes what I should experience in life... look beyond the gloomy to fully see the sparkling side of life. Catch the moments that come floating down to me on little rays of sun...soak them in, and be thankful for that time.

Yikes! Seeing these pictures, I'm noticing how terrible our carpet has gotten! Nobody look at it!
The scary thing is that when I'm out somewhere and see a cute purse I have to hold myself back from buying it for her! I bought her a Disney's Cuties backpack at Target the other day -- even though we were looking for David -- just because it was THUMPER!!!! I had to have it. I'll save it for her until next year when she starts school. Poor David will have to use a grocery bag for kindergarten! LOL!
have you found a backpack for David yet? the hubs and i were at the disney store today and found some good ones. :) they even had a coordinating lunch pack that could clip on to the backpack! let me know if you want me to get him one! :)
