Someone asked me what this little picture was by my info, so here's a larger look. It's me when I was little. It was taken at Knott's Berry Farm ages ago. Isn't this man gorgeous? He looks so wise and majestic. It's my mom's favorite picture.

How's this for a prize???
So what do you think about this... the two prizes for the knitting guessing game will be bracelets made with my slipper beads. (Let me know if you think this prize sucks!)
Here is the update on guesses on my completion date.
sillyduckie: 8/18/05
satrina: 9/29/05
otomayim: 7/21/05
Ooooh...pressure!!!! So where am I on this project? Well the sweater is worked in one piece sideways from the left sleeve, through the middle, to the right sleeve. Nice and simple! I am five rows away from being smack dab in the middle. Not bad, huh? Problem is...the rows are going really slow right now because there are a lot of stitches per row, and I have to keep two balls of yarn from getting tangled together each time I turn becuase I'm working both the front and back at the same time. Once I get to the right sleeve, it should fly! (Yeah, right!) We are going to Sesame Place next Friday for Preview Night/Cookout. That's a nice 2.5 hour drive for me to catch up along the way.

Knitting Contest Update...
Well, we have one winner so far! Sillyduckie guessed that I was making a sweater!
Currently there are two entries for Prize Number Two.... the completion date! Sillyduckie has guessed August 18, 2005, and Satrina has guessed September 29th. I'm going to guess she means 2005...but since there's no year, I'm safe if I finish 9/29/06, right? he he he
Thanks guys! As soon as I get some extra torch time, I'll post pictures of what the two prizes are.

Huggies...
David and Sammie cuddle on the couch -- this came after they were fighting over who got the fuzzy pink blanket, and I made them share. I said, "Huggies!" They automatically forgot they were fighting and started sharing hugs. Of course any time you whip out the camera, these two become total hams! What a couple of cheeseballs!

From humble beginnings...
Here is a project I have been working on for about a week or so. I need your help to keep it from becoming another UFP - "UnFinished Project". In order to do that, I thought I would make it a contest!
*CONTEST!! WIN A PRIZE!*
Two prizes will be awarded! 1. What am I making? - First person to guess correctly wins a prize. 2. When will I finish it? - Whoever guesses the closest date to when I actually complete this project wins a prize!
I will reveal the prizes when the contest is over. The contest isn't over until I finish this darn thing! LOL! Thanks for helping and good luck!
A slice of civilization comes to Lancaster, PA!
Guess what we got! Guess what we got! Ooooooh, I'm so happy! I would have been happier had it arrived here in York, but hey, Lancaster is not as far away as Cockeysville, MD, where we had been driving to enjoy this treasure! Magnifico! We ate there last night...and boy was I stuffed! Yum!
ROFLMAO!
Note to self: "Don't order soup in Jamaica if the chef is not wearing pants." he he he
I found this while poking around at a supermarket in Laurel, MD this weekend...had to buy it just because!

Greetings from HoJo...
You would think it is a mother's dream to be away from her husband and kids for the weekend. I checked in at Howard Johnson's Express on Saturday night. Opening that door and walking into a dark empty room was not so fun though. I sat on one of the two big beds and looked around. I really wasn't so sure what to do by myself. So I ventured out in search for food. I ended up doing a little shopping and wandering around a supermarket. Eventually I had to go back to the empty room. I made it through the night, but it just wasn't the same without the sound of kids jumping on the bed and Keith yelling at them to stop. How pathetic, right? I really do need those three... I can't explain it...but it just isn't the same when we aren't together.
Bead bazaar...what a weekend!
This weekend was the Bead Bazaar down in New Carrollton, MD. I was given the opportunity to share a spot with ten other glass bead makers, which are fellow members of the Mid-Atlantic Society of Glass Beadmakers. I was a little nervous at first because I was not sure who I would be spending two days with, or what their personalities were like. I must say though, that everyone was fantastic, very fun to talk to, and we had a great time! I was sad to say good-bye to them on Sunday evening. It was quite a learning experience, and I am looking foward to future events with them. Below are two pictures. One is of my display area, and the second one is of me looking goofy on Sunday. I did sell a few beads. I'm always so excited when my beads find a new home. I imagine what new and fun creations they will be a part of. Unfortunately I also spent some of my money at the show...but I kept my head together most of the time! I have a necklace in mind that I would like to make. We'll see how that goes. I'm the Queen of Unfinished Projects!

"Giant" Cow Terrorizes York!
This is an example of irony that I just had to share. We were coming back from the fairgrounds Sunday. I had my camera in hand to capture the blooms downtown. I started thinking of ideas...like what if I tried photographing certain things around the city... maybe oddities or strange items. As the car continued forward, I kept looking out my window at things you don't usually get to see when driving... but as a passenger, you have more time to really fish for details. Well, we were getting pretty close to Home Depot, our usual destination, and I thought to myself, "You know, this city just does not have any weird or odd things to photograph!" At that very moment I thought that, I turned my head towards Keith and about peed my pants! There in the parking lot of Giant was this enormous cow with a carton of enormous Turkey Hill Neopolitan Ice Cream! So how was he terrorizing? Duh, the ice cream! How dare he be out in public with all that ice cream when I'm on a low-carb diet!!! Bastard!
Great find!!
While I was at the show, this one pendant kept catching my eye. It's made from Borosilicate glass, which is a harder glass than what I work with. It's more like a Pyrex. The colors are very different too, and are based on reactions in the glass. As a result, they tend to be more random and translucent...a more painterly effect. What I love about this pendant is how it has just a little flash of coral pink to it. I just couldn't keep my hands off of this great piece, so I said, "What the heck," and bought it. It was only $25.00... which for a honker like this in Boro, that's a great deal! I'm so proud of my find, but I have to be careful when I wear it... I could knock myself out easily! ha ha ha The bag with the flames came from Joan (MothWoman). She airbrushed these flames on her bags. So cute! What can I say, like other glass melters, I am just naturally attracted to FIRE!
Intergalactic Bead Show - York, PA
Our friend MothWoman was very gracious and let Susquehanna Sizzlers share some of her space at this weekends bead show at the York Fairgrounds! I can't believe that six of my fish actually sold!! Everyone had a great time and sold lots of beads. We are excited for when this show comes to town again so that we can have a group table together. Here we are again from left to right: Rob (Joan's hubby), Joan, Maryanne, Debby, Me, and Laura.

Blooming downtown...
I promised I would try to capture a picture of Market Street in Downtown York. Well...I got a picture...but I couldn't capture the emotion I feel when I'm driving under this canopy of blooming trees... It's like all sound fades away, and I feel like I'm traveling through a magical passageway to my destiny.... but then the line of trees stops and I look around... nope, I'm just driving down Market Street behind morons that don't know how to go more than the speed limit. *rolling my eyes* I guess you have to be there to understand...but I tried! ha ha ha
Just one of the girls....
Saturday was the quarterly meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Society of Glass Beadmakers down in Columbia, Maryland. What a rush! The whole meeting was full of energy and excitement. We were gathered around and there was just a buzz of positive energy. Beadmakers are so happy to share their passion, and it is so easy to get passionate about spreading our art all over the world. I left there inspired and motivated. I just wanted to share a picture of some of my good friends. We have banded together as a group called Susquehanna Sizzlers. We are growing, and not all of us are pictured here. I like hanging out with the girls. From left to right is Nolly, Ann, Laura, Katherine, and me.

The Chrildren's Garden at Hershey Gardens - Hershey, PA - April 11, 2005
Just a captured moment I thought I would share. No need for words on this one, I believe.
(Okay...changed my mind...do need a comment here. Looks can be deceiving, and a photo can influence your memory too. What appears to be an innocent moment of sibling love is the opposite. In fact, my memory of the actual moment was suddenly jogged when I looked at the published result. David and Samantha were actually having a mini battle over who was going to sit in this spot, and I just happened to click the camera at the right moment before the fur started flying. Oh well, it's still just as cute. he he)
Gotta Love Those Blooms!
We took a ride up to Hershey Gardens on April 11th. Unfortunately a little too early though as not many flowers are blooming yet... in fact, it was really a sea of sticks. We had fun though. One breathtaking phenomenon about spring in PA though is how lovely all the trees bloom with various shades of white and pink flowers. I don't know which trees are apple trees or cherry trees..or the kind that sprout those big huge blossoms that look like the flowers on lilly pads... I'm afraid I'm not much for horticulture... but I do know that I love this moment in spring when all the trees are just full of gorgeous petals, and they rain down on the ground like soft confetti. I'll have to get a picture of Market Street downtown... the way the trees line the street and create a white canopy -- remarkable! That's my mission for tomorrow afternoon or so. I want to capture this magic.
Sliders...
Sunshine is finally here, and the Daring Duo takes full advantage of this opportunity to get dirty and have some fun. Memorial Park is not the same without the merry-go-round, but David and Samantha had a great time on the slides anyway. This was their first official trip to the park for the season on April 5th. This is going to be a great spring!
My Sambina...
There's a funny little monkey in my life. She wiggles and giggles and makes you smile. I find that with each day that passes I fall deeper in love with this girl. She's a tough little chic, but is warm and loves to cuddle too. Today she is under the weather... fighting off a stomach virus. I hate to see her just lay there on the couch, weak and weary. She has barely been able to hold down water. All I can do is wait and hope for the moment she is laughing and playing again...soaking up the new spring sunshine and sparkling the way she does. Get well soon, Beaner! I forgot to note: This picture was taken by DAVID!
I'm new at this, but oh well!
Well, I didn't think I would ever be part of the "Blog Scene", but here I am. I blame Yoko for this because I couldn't leave comments on her blog without signing up...so I figured, "Oh well, might as well have another spot on the web that I probably won't keep up to date!" ha ha ha
Actually, this may be a good thing. I keep a regular journal here at home...actually, I have several journals going at once. I'm not sure if anyone will be interested in my ramblings, but I may as well leave them out here for everyone to see. So welcome to my very first blog. Leave me a comment so I'll feel special. Thanks!
