No, its not there anymore, I think its some kind of spa or something. I think that shopping center is mostly Korean owned now. I wonder if the 7Up sale was before or after the lettuce sale?
Wow, everything does taste like chicken afterall, huh?
no, it was definitely "celery up butt"! i remember, whenever T or C used to drop me off, we'd have a good laugh over it as we drove past.
the first line was "crisp...seven...pork" and the second line was "celery...up...butt..."
but i think C and i were saying that the old Spot Market building must have some kind of butt aura to it because now there is a sign (or at least, there used to be) that says "WIC in rear"
Well, I seem to remember is being "iceburg lettuce" as my grandpa and I drove past. LOL! They probably had several "butt" specials, and we all saw them at different times! Someone in that store had a funny sense of humor. I remember there was a little coffee shop in that center where my grandfather used to like eating Mongolian beef. Wow...that was so long ago. I really miss those days when my grandparents lived on St. Andrews Place and I could walk to Motoyama market to buy candy or a popsicle.
I'm a smart ass, but I have a very big heart. I love creating pretty little things out of glass or fibers. I am a pathetic singer, but do it with so much passion. My alter ego is a quiet court reporter taking depositions and hearings around town. I love everything about what I do... at work, at home, at the torch, with my camera... Right now I am having the time of my life.
A Zonnestraaltje is a "little ray of sun". It's a Dutch word that I have been fond of for over ten years now, and it's become part of my persona. I used to hope it described my personality, but the more I look around my little world, I realize it describes what I should experience in life... look beyond the gloomy to fully see the sparkling side of life. Catch the moments that come floating down to me on little rays of sun...soak them in, and be thankful for that time.
