"Please Touch"

Saturday we ventured a little bit south of Sesame Place down to Center City, Philadelphia. We wanted to check out the Please Touch Museum, a special place created just for kids to explore and learn. It is located right across the street from the Franklin Institute.

The kids explored different areas ranging from parts of Mr. Rogers' set, a miniature farm where you can pull rubber turnips out of the floor, part of a real bus you can board, and a kid-sized grocery store complete with a stock room and a deli counter!

At one point there was a performance in the theater. A pair of dancers by the name of "Junk" put on an intriguing performance under a black light and dayglo costumes. Just don't touch the glowing green butt frog alien thingies..whatever they were! Hilarious though! Kids were either so scared they were crying, or so amused they were wetting their pants with laughter.

Those green butt frogs nearly scared *me* into crying... LOL! The museum looks like a lot of fun, though... I love those glowing photos!

More about the glowing butt frog thingies... they were pretty cute, but once the older kids in the audience realized they were butts they started going, "Ewww, a butt!" The rest of that piece was kind of funny, but then the girl butt frong was joined by the male, and they were on the floor with their legs open and bouncing...let's just say that the boy butt frog didn't leave much to the imagination, and lots of kids were going, "Ewwww, gross!!!" It was quite a show! LOL!

Ah, I saw the typo after I posted it, but couldn't figure out how to fix it. Have no idea where my mind was when I typed, "Frong"! LOL!
